Who we are

SILA Childcare is operated by Honey Bunny Rose Childcare Corp., at 332 East Esplanade Avenue, North Vancouver, BC. We are responsible for personal information under our control, and we follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect

When you use our waitlist, tour or contact forms, we collect:

• your name, email address and phone number
• your child's first name and date of birth (or expected due date)
• the program you are interested in, your preferred start date and tour preference
• anything you write in the message box
• the date and time you sent the form, and which page you sent it from

Because some of this information is about your child, we only ask for what we need to manage the waitlist and arrange tours. Please do not include health or other sensitive details in the message box; we will ask for anything else we need during enrolment.

Why we collect it

• to reply to your enquiry
• to add your child to our waitlist and offer a space when one becomes available
• to arrange tours and open houses
• to send you updates about opening and enrolment, which you can opt out of at any time

We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Where it is stored

We use the following service providers to run this website and our forms. Some of them store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States:

• Cloudflare: hosts this website and provides Turnstile, a privacy-friendly security check that stops spam on our forms.
• Resend: delivers form submissions to our team by email.
• Google Workspace / Google Sheets: stores our waitlist and enquiry records, with access limited to authorised SILA staff.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and only gives us combined statistics (such as page views, country and browser type), not information about individual visitors. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist and enquiry information for [TBC: retention period] after our last contact with you, or until you ask us to remove it. If your child enrols, your information becomes part of your child's enrolment record and is kept as required by BC child care licensing rules.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it. Contact our privacy contact at privacy@silachildcare.ca. We will respond within 30 days, as PIPA requires.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
